Send payments directly to ING Bank

The automatic bank connection with ING Bank now allows you to send payment orders directly. Once sent, you only need to authorize the payments in the ING Bank web app.

Setting up the Automatic Bank connection

If you don’t have a bank connection with ING Bank yet:

You need to set up the bank connection first. Follow the steps in the help guide titled How can I activate the bank connection with ING?. During setup, you'll configure both the import of transactions and payment functionality.

If you already have an ING Bank connection:

If you’ve already set up a bank connection for incoming transactions, you’ll need to expand it to include payment functionality.

  1. Log in to Mijn ING Zakelijk.

  2. Find the accounting connection with Informer.

  3. Modify the connection to include the payment functionality.

Sending Automatic Direct Debit Orders for Sales Invoices

To send a direct debit order for sales invoices to ING, follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to Sales in the left-hand menu;

  2. Open the Available for debt collection tab;

  3. Check the sales invoices that need to be collected;

    1. Make sure the invoices have the Direct Debit payment condition;

  4. Choose Select an Action and click Direct Debit Batch;

  5. In the popup, select your ING bank account and adjust the amount if necessary;

  6. Click Create Batch;

  7. The direct debit order will be sent to your ING account;

  8. Authorize the payment in your ING environment to execute the direct debits;

  9. Once processed, the status of the invoices will be updated to Paid.

Sending payment orders for purchase invoices

To send payment orders for outstanding purchase invoices, follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to Expenses in the left-hand menu;

  2. Open the Outstanding tab;

  3. Check the purchase invoices that need to be paid;

  4. Click Select an Action and choose Payment Batch;

  5. In the popup, select your ING bank account and adjust the amount if necessary;

  6. Click Create Batch;

  7. The payment order will be sent to your ING account;

  8. Authorize the payments in your ING environment to complete the payments;

  9. Once processed, the status of the invoices will be updated to Paid.
