When working on a project basis, tracking the hours worked is an essential part of ensuring the correct invoices are sent. InformerOnline offers a time tracking module to help with this.
Informer provides two options for logging hours:
Automatically via a stopwatch;
Manually through direct input.

Preparing the system
Before you can log hours manually or automatically, a few basic pieces of data must be in place.
Create a unit
One of the basic requirements is creating a unit. To do so, follow the steps below:
Navigate to Settings in the left-hand menu;
Select Units and click New;
Enter a name under Name (e.g., "Hours");
For Type, select Hour Type;
Save to create the unit.
Create a product
Next, you need to create a product. Follow the steps below:
Navigate to Products in the left-hand menu and click New;
Enter the required product details and select Hours as the unit;
Save to create the product.
Create a project
For both automatic and manual time tracking, at least one active project needs to be set up. Follow the steps below:
Navigate to Time registration in the left-hand menu;
Select Projects and click New;
Fill in the required information and ensure that the Status is set to Open;
Click Save when all information has been entered.
Logging hours manually
To log hours manually, follow the steps below:
Go to Time Tracking in the left-hand menu;
Select Hours and click New;
Fill in the required details (e.g., project, hours worked);
Click Save to log the entry;
Repeat the process until all hours worked are recorded.
