American Express transactions, just like regular bank accounts, can be imported into InformerOnline!
While only MT940 and CAMT.053 formats are supported for regular banks like Rabobank and ING, InformerOnline accepts a CSV file for American Express transactions. This is because American Express can only export in CSV format. This way, Informer has made it possible to use the BankRobot for American Express transactions as well, eliminating the need to manually enter the transactions.
Import American Express transactions
Create a bank account
To import American Express transactions, you first need to add American Express as a bank account.
To create a bank account follow the steps below:
Navigate to Settings in the left-hand menu;
Choose Bank accounts and click on New;
Under Account type, choose Credit Card and for Card issuer, select American Express.
In the Import Bank Files dropdown, you'll now see only the CSV option.
Import American Express Transactions
Once the American Express bank account is set up, you can upload your transactions.
To upload your transactions follow the steps below:
Navigate to Bank/Cash in the left-hand menu;
Click on Upload bank mutations on the right side;
Klik rechts op Bankmutaties uploaden;
Drag the AMEX CSV file into the popup or click to select the file;
The transactions will then be imported into the system.
