Informer, in collaboration with the Tax Authority, has developed accounting assistance.

This accounting assistance provides explanations on booking rules from the Tax Authority and instructions from Informer on how to make such bookings in the system.

This accounting assistance works based on RGS codes. Therefore, it is very important that your chart of accounts has RGS set up. If not, the accounting assistance will not work.

There is accounting assistance for matters such as the use of a private vehicle, expenses for (work) clothing, phone costs, and professional literature.

While entering a purchase invoice, you select a category. If this category is linked to an RGS code associated with accounting assistance, an icon of a square academic cap will appear.

By clicking on the icon, you will receive explanations as previously mentioned. On the left, you’ll find the Tax Authority’s explanation, including the rules, and on the right, Informer’s explanation on how to book it in the system.

With this accounting assistance, Informer aims to provide users with additional background information about both the Tax Authority's rules and the accounting side of Informer.
