How do I process a reversal?

When a customer doesn’t have sufficient funds in their account, the bank won’t be able to collect the outstanding amount, resulting in a chargeback on your bank account. Informer automatically detects and links chargebacks to the corresponding invoice, but occasionally, a chargeback might not be recognized automatically. In such cases, you’ll need to process it manually.

To process a reversal, follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to Bank/Cash in the left-hand menu;

  2. Locate and open the chargeback transaction;

  3. Go to the Reversals tab, find the sales invoice, and select;

  4. The fields for General ledger, Description, and Amount will auto-fill based on the invoice;

  5. Click Save to process the revesal;

  6. The invoice will now be marked as Open again.
