When a customer doesn’t have sufficient funds in their account, the bank won’t be able to collect the outstanding amount, resulting in a chargeback on your bank account. Informer automatically detects and links chargebacks to the corresponding invoice, but occasionally, a chargeback might not be recognized automatically. In such cases, you’ll need to process it manually.
Process a reversal
To process a reversal, follow the steps below:
Navigate to Bank/Cash in the left-hand menu;
Locate and open the chargeback transaction;
Go to the Reversals tab, find the sales invoice, and select;
The fields for General ledger, Description, and Amount will auto-fill based on the invoice;
Click Save to process the revesal;
The invoice will now be marked as Open again.
