Before setting up a recurring invoice, you have the option to create different subscription types. While this step is not mandatory, it’s highly recommended if you want to benefit from detailed overviews of your recurring invoices.
To create subscription types, follow the steps below:
Navigate to Settings in the left-hand menu;
Go to Subscription types;
Click New in the top-right corner to create a new subscription type;
Enter the required information:
Code: Provide a code for the subscription, such as an abbreviation;
Name: Enter the subscription name. This will appear when selecting the subscription for recurring invoices;
Description: Provide a brief description of the subscription, including key details;
After filling in the fields, click Save;
Your subscription type is now ready to be used in recurring invoices.
Pro tip: Using subscription types allows you to access detailed reports like Total period Invoices and Recurring Invoice forecast. These provide insights into total revenue by subscription type and give a monthly revenue forecast per subscription.
