In InformerOnline, discounts are applied per invoice line.

Adding a discount to the invoice

To add a discount percentage to an invoice line, follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to Sales in the menu on the left;

  2. Open an existing invoice or add a new one via New;

  3. Enter the required details;

  4. For each line item, enter the percentage discount in the Discount (%) field.

    1. The discount only works with whole numbers. A discount like 10.50, for example, will not work.

  5. Save to apply the discount to the invoice.

Note: Only enter numbers in this field, without the % symbol.

Displayed discount on the PDF

After adding the discount to the line item, the discount will appear on the PDF as follows. The discount is shown as a percentage per line but is also displayed as an amount in the invoice totals.

Adjusting the discount in the layout

To hide the discount in the totals and keep it visible only in the line items, follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to Settings in the menu on the left;

  2. Open the layout where you want to hide the discount;

  3. Click on the block containing the invoice line items;

  4. Open the Styling tab in the right menu;

  5. Select Line settings and the Footer tab;

  6. Enable the Hide discount option;

  7. Save to apply the changes to the layout.

Note: Make sure to apply this setting for both the first page and any subsequent pages.
