InformerOnline distinguishes between a purchase invoice and a receipt. You can process documents as expenses, either as a purchase invoice or as a receipt. The key difference lies in how each is processed.

A purchase invoice must be fully recorded with details such as the supplier and invoice number. A receipt, on the other hand, only needs to be uploaded. Since a receipt does not have an invoice number, it cannot be processed as a purchase invoice. The receipt is processed when the payment is registered.

The main difference between a purchase invoice and a receipt is that many invoice requirements are missing from a receipt. A receipt typically does not have an invoice number and often lacks the full details of the supplier as well.

For a full list of invoice requirements, you can check Informer’s blog.

How to book a receipt is explained in the help item "How do I process a receipt via the bank?".
