You may have noticed that the categories have different colors. The color bar of a category immediately indicates the type of category it is. Informer currently uses four colors:

  • Grey
    A grey bar indicates that it is a Balance - general category.

  • Yellow
    A yellow bar indicates that it is a Balance - VAT category.

  • Red
    A red bar indicates that it is an Expense category.

  • Green
    A green bar indicates that it is an Sales category.

These colors make it easy to identify the type of category when entering invoices and bank transactions. This helps prevent mistakes, such as booking a purchase invoice under a balance category instead of an expense category.
