When you open a payment account for your company with Swan, it can be managed by:

  1. The legal representative of the company (as registered with the Chamber of Commerce), or

  2. Someone who is authorized via a Power of Attorney (authorization).

The account always remains in the name of the company. The authorized person only receives permission to manage the account on behalf of the company.

When is a Power of Attorney required?

If someone other than the legal representative wants to open or manage the account, an authorization is mandatory. This document must be signed by the legal representative, and you must also include a copy of their identity document.

How do you complete the Power of Attorney document?

When completing the authorization form, the following components are mandatory:

  1. Details of the legal representative and the company

Provide the following information:

  • Full name of the legal representative

  • Date of birth

  • Place of birth

  • Name of the company

  • Chamber of Commerce registration number

2. Declaration

A short declaration stating that the named person is authorized to open and manage a payment account on behalf of the company.

3. Details of the authorized person

Provide:

  • Full name of the authorized person

  • Date of birth

  • Place of birth

  • Position or role within the company

4. Attached documents

State that a copy of the identity document of the legal representative is included with the application.

5. Date and location of signing

Record the place, city, and country where the document was signed, as well as the date of signing.

6. Signature

Ensure that the document is manually signed by the legal representative.

Note: digital signatures are not accepted.

Tips for correct submission

  • Make sure all details match the Chamber of Commerce registration of your company.

  • The authorized person must have a demonstrable connection with the company (for example, employee or co-founder).

  • Submit the authorization form and the identity document as two separate PDF files.

  • Use a clear color copy of the identity document.
