What is PEPPOL?
Peppol is an international network designed to enable standardised, secure and efficient electronic document exchange, especially for transactions between businesses and government bodies (B2G) and between businesses (B2B). This means Peppol can be used for e-invoicing to the government.
PEPPOL in Informer Invoicing
With PEPPOL you can send invoices directly to the accounting system of the receiving party, also known as e-invoicing. This way you can be sure that your sales invoice reaches the other party. Other businesses or government bodies can also send invoices to your administration through the secure network, where you can have them processed quickly and easily (automatically).
To use this, you need to be registered on the PEPPOL network. PEPPOL is available in Informer Invoicing in every package that lets you send sales invoices.
Registering on the PEPPOL network
To register on the PEPPOL network, follow the steps below:
Click your name in the bottom left corner;
Open PEPPOL Network;
Check your details, enable PEPPOL return messages, complete your details via Settings > Administrations if needed and click Save.
Informer Invoicing will now check your registration on the PEPPOL network.
PEPPOL PIN code
After registering, you will be asked to enter a PIN code to complete the registration. This PIN code is sent by post to the address entered in your administration.
Once you have entered the PIN code, your PEPPOL registration is complete and you can start e-invoicing.
Am I registered on the PEPPOL network myself?
You can check on the dashboard whether you are registered on the PEPPOL network through Informer Invoicing. The Create connection message will then have been replaced by an overview of how many invoices you have sent and received through the PEPPOL network.
How do I know whether my relations are also registered on the PEPPOL network?
You can check for all your relations whether they are registered on the PEPPOL network. To do this, go to your Relations.
If you see the 'share' symbol next to a relation, it means that this relation is also registered on the PEPPOL network.
A relation's PEPPOL registration is checked based on the following details:
Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number
VAT number
OIN number
If these details are missing or incorrect, the registration cannot be found and no e-invoice can be sent.
Sending invoices via PEPPOL
To send a sales invoice to a receiving party via PEPPOL, the receiving party must itself be successfully registered on the PEPPOL network.
If PEPPOL is available, it is selected as the default sending option when you send the sales invoice.
If you do not want to send the invoice via PEPPOL, you can choose one of the other options under TO:. Invoices sent via PEPPOL go directly to the receiving party's accounting system.
An invoice can only be sent via PEPPOL once. After that, the invoice can only be sent by email or post. If you still want to send it via PEPPOL, please contact the helpdesk.
Stopping the PEPPOL connection
A PEPPOL connection remains active until it is stopped. Stopping a connection is necessary, for example, when you stop using Informer and your new provider also offers PEPPOL.
To stop a connection, please contact the helpdesk. They can stop the connection for your administration(s).
