Streamline your financial management with ease! An automatic bank connection means you'll never need to manually download your bank transactions again—they’ll automatically sync into your accounting system! Informer charges just €1 per connected account per month for this feature.

The Ponto integration is perfect for banks that don’t yet have a direct connection with Informer. Currently, Informer has direct integrations with the following four banks:

To take advantage of the automatic connection, you’ll need to create a Ponto account if you don’t already have one.

Important: The Ponto connection costs €4 per month, and due to GDPR and PSD2 regulations, it needs to be re-validated every 180 days. On top of Ponto's fee, Informer charges €1 per month per connected account.

Setting Up the Bank Connection

Add Integration within Ponto

To add an integration in Ponto, follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to your Ponto account;

  2. Add the bank account you want to set up an automatic connection for;

  3. Navigate to Integrations;

  4. On the Integrations page, select Add a Custom Integration;

  5. For the integration name, enter InformerOnline;

  6. Tick both Account Information and Payment Initiation;

  7. Click Add to save the integration;

  8. You'll now see two codes on the integration screen:

    1. Client ID;

    2. Client Secret;

  9. If not visible immediately, scroll down to find them;

  10. Keep this screen open, as you’ll need these codes when activating the Ponto connection in Informer.

Activate Ponto in Informer

Activate the Ponto app within Informer

Now that Ponto is ready, let’s activate the connection in Informer so you can start using it. To do so, follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to Settings in the left-hand menu;

  2. Choose App Store;

  3. Search for the Ponto app and click Activate.

  4. Enter the Client ID and Client Secret from the Ponto integration.

  5. Save the settings to activate Ponto.

Link Ponto to your bank account

Now that Ponto is activated in Informer, it’s time to link it to your bank account for automatic transaction importing. To do so, follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to Settings in the left-hand menu;

  2. Choose Bank links and click New;

  3. In the dropdown for Select a bank account, choose the account you want to connect;

  4. In the dropdown for Connections, select Ponto;

  5. Optional: If you want to import transactions from a specific date onward, enter the date under Import from. The connection will then import all transactions from that date;

  6. Click Save to activate the automatic bank connection.

  7. Now, your transactions will be fetched every hour or when you navigate to the Bank/Cash section.

Tip: Do you have multiple bank accounts that need to use the automatic connection? Make sure all of them are added in your Ponto account. Only then can the connection be established within Informer for these accounts.
